COVID-19 Workplace Readiness Information and Updates
Please see the links below to the City of Atlanta and Georgia Governor executive orders in response to COVID-19. The Building will continue to comply with restrictions as stated in these ordinances. Currently these ordinances allow critical staff to report to work and have not stated that private buildings must be closed. Professional services are defined by DHS as part of the nation’s critical infrastructure. See commercial facilities here: https://www.cisa.gov/identifying-critical-infrastructure-during-covid-19. Property Management does not intend to close the building. Many of our tenants and vendor partners perform services which are exempt from the Mayor’s ordinance including professional services such as banking, accounting and payroll. Transit Updates for Transit Partners
TRANSIT SERVICES FOR DOWNTOWN EMPLOYEESDue to impacts related to COVID-19, public transportation services are being reduced in and around Downtown Atlanta to protect the health of workers and passengers. For real-time transit updates, follow your transit provider on Twitter.MARTA Service Update (5/8/2020): Bus: MARTA is implementing an Essential Services plan that reduces the number of bus routes and allows for a doubling of service on the busiest, most critical routes. Beginning Monday, April 20, MARTA will run 41 bus routes and one new circulator service that provide transportation to 17 hospitals, 22 urgent care centers, 85 grocery stores and 16 job centers/industrial hubs. Buses will be added to the 34 busiest routes.All other bus routes will be suspendedFare collection has been suspended on all buses. Riders will enter and exit using the rea doors only except for customers who require the accessibility rampRail: MARTA rail service will begin at 5 am and operate on a Sunday schedule with trains arriving approximately every 20 minutes. Fares are still being collected at rail stations. The Mercedes-Benz/State Farm Arena/GWCC Station is closed and trains will not stop there.Streetcar: Streetcar service will run on a Sunday schedule for weekday and weekend service.Read MARTA’s announcement here.SRTA XPRESSService Update (6/1/2020):Effective June 1, Xpress will restore partial service levels. Xpress Commuter Bus service will be free for the months of June and July. To continue practicing social distancing, only 26 passengers will be allowed per trip.Read Xpress’ announcement here.GWINNETT COUNTY TRANSITService update (5/15/2020):Beginning on June 1, Gwinnett County Transit will resume commuter express bus routes to Downtown on a reduced schedule. GCT will continue to suspend fare box collection until further notice. Gwinnett County Transit encourages riders to follow CDC guidelines and wear a face mak while on the bus. To continue practicing social distancing, only 14 passengers will be permitted on a commuter bus at a time.Read Gwinnett County Transit’s announcement here.COBBLINCService update (6/2/2020):Beginning on April 15, CobbLinc will temporarily suspend operation of Routes 101 and 102. Operation of Route 100 will continue with a reduced schedule that has been modified to serve Marietta Transfer Center for passengers who would normally use Route 101. Only the first Route 100 afternoon trip will circulate in Downtown. All remaining trips will begin at the Civic Center Station northbound.Route 102 passengers may consider driving to Busbee Park-and-Ride lot to acess Route 100 Express Service. Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is offering free online city cycling classes to help you reach important destinations like the grocery store, pharmacy, and healthcare providers. When biking, please continue to practice social distancing and do not ride in groups.Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is partnering with SoPo Bicycle Cooperative to connect Atlantans who have a ready-to-ride bicycle to Atlantans who need one.
